Para Athletics

Athletes of all disability types compete in a myriad of track and field sports, such as sprint and endurance running and wheeling, long jump, high jump, shot put and javelin just to name a few. There are adaptive devices and equipment to aid athletes on the track and in the field. Blind and visually impaired athletes often pair up with a guide runner. Prosthetic blades propel leg amputees and athletes often use racing chairs.
